About Congregational Life Ministry

Purpose

Congregational Life provides emotional, physical and spiritual support to one another by challenging and engaging members to be the body of Christ to others as we celebrate, learn and serve.

As we celebrate:

  • Through fellowship events- Easter Breakfast, Fish Fry, Oktoberfest, Thanksgiving Potluck/Turkey Fry, Ladies Christmas Party
  • Welcoming new members
  • Engage in social groups-Singles ministry, bi-monthly game group, Mama’s group, Dad’s group

As we learn:

  • Within our small group ministries to be the body of Christ to others-GIFT, Two or More, Men’s Breakfast, Men’s group, Dad’s group, Tuesday Morning Bible Class

As we serve:

  • Host Funeral receptions for members who have lost a loved one
  • Provide “meals for members” in a time of need (illness, post-surgery, having a baby)
  • Arranging Eucharistic ministers to take communion to the homebound
  • Provide respite care as needed
  • Encourage GriefShare, a grief support group open to the community
  • Prayer ministry which is active via a prayer chain facilitated through email and available through our website
  • Welcoming visitors
  • Through our Stewardship events promoting the giving of our time, talents and gifts to our Lord and Savior
